Our candle-making workshops at Creativity Warehouse include ~2 hours of hands-on instruction and all materials. You will be tackling every part of the candle-making process from blending your custom fragrance to placing the wick and hand-pouring your wax into your chosen candle vessel. You’ll end up with a beautiful, custom 8 oz soy wax candle.
During the workshop, you’ll be working with hot wax and concentrated fragrance oils - a waiver will need to be completed by each participant (or their parent/guardian if a minor). Gloves and aprons will be provided. Please avoid loose sleeves and be prepared to tie back long hair.
The Process
Step 1: Select your vessel
We have candle vessels options for every taste! Our standard vessels are 8 oz.
Step 2: Design your fragrance blend
Step 3: Measure your fragrance oil
Step 4: Prep your vessel
Step 5: Mix fragrance oil and wax
Step 6: Pour!
After pouring your wax into your candle vessel, it will take about 1 hour to set up. If your candle sets up before the workshop ends, you’ll be able to take it with you. Otherwise, you’ll need to return to pick up within two weeks of your workshop. Due to the unique properties of soy wax, you’ll want to let your candle cure for two weeks before burning for the first time.
